I recently cracked the base of my (probably original) MAP sensor when reinstalling after a smoke test. I'm looking at replacing it and the TMAP while I'm at it, and considering my options.

I know for our MINIs, the O2 sensors must be NTK or genuine MINI. FCP shows the NTK MAP and TMAP sensors as backordered with no ETA. ECS offers FAE and FACET sensors labeled as OEM. Considering how much cheaper they are compared to the genuine MINI, are they worth trying? I'm wondering if anyone knows who currently makes the sensors for MINI if NTK is unavailable, or if people have had okay results with FAE or FACET. Old posts seem to have mixed opinions.

 

Try allmagauto - see if they have any used ones

 

I had an issue at one time and opted to go with an off brand from Amazon. The issue wasn't resolved with these (significantly) cheaper MAPs. I wound up returning and forking out $$ for Genuine MINI. For whatever reason - They worked to solve the stumble.

 

Fae and Facet (france) makes some of the sensors when Bosch and NTK does not, depends on make/model MINI. They are fine to use.
