R53 -2004 Front engine mount ( passenger ) and Belt tensioner torque question

Hello,

It's 4th of July 2025, I got question again well not really question I just need to verify these before doing this today. Plan is replace my R53 Belt Tensioner and as well the front engine mount, yes the hydraulic one.

I am reviewing what bentley says.. am I correct on these?

Engine Mount:

R53
R53

About #2 - it says 74ft-lbs isn't this too high? maybe a typo? these bolts on to the top engine block, and I think the engine block is aluminum not cast iron.?

Belt tensioner:

R53 - Belt tensioner
R53 - Belt tensioner

You guys know what's the torque for number #6?

Happy 4th of July to all... I will be having my beers and BBQ while doing this. Thanks in advance.

The block is cast iron. The head is aluminum. Those values look reasonable.

I believe there is no torque value for #6 (?) (tensioner diagram). But I think I had read somewhere= 9# lbs. I will however, tell you that they can break off at the hex fairly easily. From my experience: Just crank it down nice and tight.

It's the same bolt as #5 only shorter. I just did hand tight on these, it won't fit my torque wrench. I went back to default standard length open and close wrench then handtight it from there., not too loose and too tight., I am worried about the aluminum where you bolt these.
