R50/53 Android Head unit and error P0500
Android Head unit and error P0500
Hello,
on my my recently bought Mini Cooper R50 1.6, I installed a chinese Android Head unit, it takes place where the speedometer should be and this one is kept, hidden, behin the android in a box... 2 plugs on the odometer are still used but in serial with the android unit...
but now I managed to install all these wires and put everything in place, I start my torque app to read obd on the android unit, just to check the app is working and... error P0500 :(
I read, this error could be linked to an inccorect VIN coded in the odometer... but as it's the original one and as there is the android plugged on it, could it come from this installation? and is it important to fix this?
