Hi all,
I am a new owner of a 2006 Mini Cooper S coupe and am working my way through fixing its issues. Most were straightforward (rear brakes, exhaust shielding broken, window tab in door broken) but this one’s trickier. The drivers seat is moving back and forth a bit under braking/acceleration because the bracket is broken, but apparently replacement brackets are not available new. There is also something broken inside the outer lower seat bolster and the upholstery in that same spot is ripping. Is it best to find a stock seat assembly and have it reupholstered if necessary? Any suggested aftermarket seats like perhaps a Sparco (I don’t care if driver and passenger match)? Any other ideas or pointers in the right direction?
