Getrag 6- speed Shift unit

Recently purchased a 2006 JCW Mini that would not engage clutch and I was going to replace with a Valeo clutch kit but, upon further inspection discovered the Shift unit on top of the Getrag 6- speed was a broken off aluminum boss and the weighted piece was sitting on the lower control arm. Note: the cad- plated part in pictures 8 & 9 and last 2- photos ; anyone run into this problem before? Thanks

Wowsers! Do you have a photo of where it broke off from? And I'm sure you could get it TIG welded back on.

I can take pictures from the top of transmission but, need to remove the air box assembly for the best view…
