Best Aftermarket Oil Filter (if any) for R53

Quick question... In the name of convenience (i.e., same/next day Amazon Prime deliveries), what is a solid aftermarket replacement for an OE MINI oil filter for an R53, or is it best to stick with OE MINI? I have no problem going to the dealership to buy a few filters if they are way better than MANN/MAHLE/Wix etc, but just wondering if anyone's done any tests that can objectively say that certain third party brand filters are just as good, if not better than OE MINI?

Thanks!

Mann or hengst is what I run.

Mann is OEM for the Gen 1 MINI.

I've used Wix filters on just about everything I own and never had an issue.

+1 = Always Wix for the last 10 years.
I buy (Amazon) four at a time to cover a year of oil changes..

I’ll put in another vote for Mann. It’s all I’ve used after the included service ended.

Every German car I have owned over the past 20+ years has had an OE, Mann or Hengst filter. Ditto for the years before that when I started servicing my parents' VWs. With the best oil available I have yet to have an engine need any major work.

WIX is definitely a reputable alternative from my experience in industrial filtration. They were acquired my Mann-Hummel in 2016, but I doubt that they dropped in quality since.

As for sourcing it, I still don't trust Amazon for critical car parts due to counterfeiting. I just buy mine 2-3 at a time along with air and cabin filters from Rockauto, ECS or FCPEuro.
