Before I order one, is it still a thing? I just got back into an R53 after a 6 year absence.
I don’t know if that’s still the “best” reader for the price or if there’s something newer or better? I’ve seen stuff like this too but I only think it looks better compared to the Ultra Gauge aesthetically - don’t know if it does all the stuff the UG does
Side note: while I know there’s apps out there that might be better, I prefer a device to keep it separate from using my actual phone for the display info
It appears you're adverse to phone apps but a Bluetooth OBD II dongle and the Dash Command app will provide you with WAY more information than an Ultra Gauge and more than you'll ever use.

so I have seen and read. Like that last bit, more than I’ll ever use is why I’m leaning towards a separate device and keeping it simple (as backwards as that may sound lol)
I would just like to keep an eye on temps and volts mostly, don’t need all the bells and whistles

Do you have a specific bluetooth dongle you've found works with the mini? I've tried a few ELMS237 dongles from amazon and none have worked.
I have a P3 gauge. It integrates well into the interior, but it does end up hidden by the steering wheel. And it’s expensive for what it is and rather obnoxious to install. I probably should have just bought an Aeroforce.
I personally find an OBDII dongle + phone to be a gigantic PITA.
