DDM intake paper filter

Hi all,

I'm looking for a synthetic/paper filter that I can install in my DDM intake.
(not the foam filter or oiled k&n)
Some part numbers so I can source locally...

Anyone done this or able to point me in the right direction?

WayMotorWorks has one, but I'm in Canada... So I can't buy it from them.
https://www.waymotorworks.com/dry-no...dm-intake.html

Thanks!

Think I found it!

https://afepower.com/afe-power-21-90...y-s-air-filter

It's got the same 4" x 7" dimensions with the 10deg angle which I'm not sure what it's for.

Can anyone confirm?

Since the filter is quite long @7" -The 10deg angle maybe to facilitate fitment inside the air box.
I modified my factory air box to a CAI .I plastic welded a 3" internal connection pipe at a similar downward angle in order to accommodate my 3"x6" K&N cone filter so it would fit.
I don't have a DDM set up but that may perhaps be the reason for the angle (e.g: to fit more than one variety of air boxes....?)

I’m pretty sure that filter was for a gen 2 DDM intake, I had one on my clubman.

The 1st gen DDM airbox will actually allow for a straight filter up to about 9".

Yeah! the one you're pointing at from WMW is a Gen 1 JCW specific filter, those old factory boxes run these filters at a diagonal position. Being mounted to the tube at the top, so the closed end sits in a notch on the bottom, the placement allows room for the bs flapper valve they put in the box to maximize fuel efficiency and create boost leaks As a result, it's a really small CAI filter in comparison to a full size cone variant that takes up almost all the box space. Im pretty sure ECS carries these dry ones, but you have to look for it under a JCW related search to find it.
Funny story, the original owner of the one I bought didn't know and slapped a flat one in there, so I assumed that was what it needed and spent the next 10 years cleaning a flat KN before realizing what the hell was going on. I could never figure out how the flat filter was supposed to work properly with air coming in from underneath it like that, then after swapping out the whole box I discovered my folly Hope that helps.

*also* A couple years back I saw one listed on LibertyWalk that was a dry, full-size cone variation that you could clean with pressurized air, I can't remember the part number, but the specs fit.

Done!

For those interested...

I was able to get a hand on the AFe filter 21-90082.

It's got the 2-3/4" ribbed flange mount, 4" diameter x 7" length.
Also the same 10 deg mount.

i have that exact filter. i messaged AFE to ask about a filter wrap and they recommended this one 28-10213. it's not a perfect fit, but it pretty close and way better than nothing!
