Mystery wire harnesses

I was changing out a front left wheel speed sensor and noticed I have a dangling unconnected wire. Does anyone know where this is supposed to go and what it does?

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong: Could this be to the front headlight leveling sensor?
Looks like it to me.

That’s a good place to start. I’ll get a jack under it tomorrow and poke around to find that sensor. Thank you

Should be right there on the outer left (forward) side of the of the control arm. Just under the CV axle.
Depending on year and model, your Mini may not have been equipped with the auto headlight leveling feature.

Definitely the headlight level plug..unless you don't have that option or it was broken off the control arm. But the sensor attached to the control arm via plastic brackets so it can articulate and level the lights accordingly on the road...might be able to see mine in this pic but I have it unplugged and my wire pushed up for the time being..

Yeah - I think just now noticed part of its bracket in your first pic.

Adam beat me to it with his pics posted above.

Just to put this to bed, yes it was the headlight level module connection. My Mini apparently had it removed so no worries! Thanks for all the help. I was laying on the creeper staring at that wheel well for a long time before you folks pointed out what was missing.
