Really starting to love that all black look.

Maybe the black aero grills and some black wheels

or leave the grills and get some polished lip black wheels

Now we're talkin'

Beautiful!

This is close to the spec I want in a few months.

The all black just screams simplicity and style.

Congrats!

Elegant

It exudes quality. A friend got the same color-upholstery scheme. I think it is the most elegant combination for a Mini. Very urbane, very quiet, very refined. Reminds me of a Dunhill case although my friend is exclusively into Ferragamo and all Italian, rather than British, wardrobe and accessories, except his watch which is Swiss. It complements his art collection as well--cool, slightly quirky, and enviable. I considered it for my own Mini, but doubt I could keep it clean enough. Thanks for posting the pics. Enjoy it.

Thanks all! Glad you enjoyed the pics. Letsmotor, i was considering putting on black rims with a polished lip, someone either here on NAM or mini2 has a pw/jb MCS with Rota Attack black rims with the lip. it looks nice. So far, i've got the rear fog retrofit coming in a few days. I ordered a shorty antenna as well.

I wouldn't have gotten the cordoba interior with anthracite dash if I couldn't get the anthracite headliner as well. But since i could.... :-) I definitly think it's a bit more elegant. My 03 had lapis blue and alloy patina, with the grey headliner. It was real nice, but there were a lot of different colors going on inside.

Great Looking Car

Love the look of your car.

Correct me if I'm wrong... anthracite trim & anthricite headliner?

I love the look of your interior, the chrono pac and chromeline interior give it a very rich look.

Congrats!! I've got nearly the same color combo on my MC. I *really* dig the anthracite headliner (which I don't have)!! (At least, I think it's anthracite from the pic!)

03 vs 05

Are you noticing a difference between the 05 and your old 03 ? Any observations, particularly about performance, handling etc. -- appreciated...

more pics are up after the weekend weather!

freez3 and Paul!, yes anthracite it is!

3 Wire, well, currently the 2002 is a permanent member of the garage. the MCS and the 325iC switch out. i need to fix the top of the iC...that way i can park it outside ALL the time :-D i'm jk, i love all my cars equally.

SCA, yes, to me there is a huge difference between my 03 and my new 05. First off, my 03 had all the problems that MCSs have ever had, tranny rattle, PCV valve, peeling leather, cold start, stumble etc. But the 05's seem to be much better put together, and yes, i notice a pretty big difference in power. ride and steering is about the same, but the 05 seems to get up to speed quite a bit quicker than my 03. The 05's exhaust system is top notch as well. With the 03's all the good stuff was happening outside the cabin, so i put on an aftermarket system to hear it more inside. With the 05's, i have no need for an aftermarket, i hear all the pops, rumble and roar inside as well, but it's not droning. perfect.

This weekend we had some fun weather (growing up in NY however, it was nothin'...) and i snapped some shots of my MINI starting at the end of page 2, enjoy!

The ice storm could have made for some amazing pics for the 'Macro' Photo Competition. Scary for the car, but very cool to look at

chrisfb1 - signed up on atlantaminis.net today  funny, i've been a member (lurker more appropriately) of NAM and mini2 since 2002, but of course, atlantaminis.net i didn't even find. kinda dumb when i think about it since i should have KNOWN it would exist. anyway, just browsing the forums there, i already see some names i recognize from NAM and mini2.

Once again, thanks everyone for all of the compliments!

I just received my mini mania shorty antenna today and put that puppy on the MCS. WOW, what a difference, the antenna won't scrape on the ceiling of my garage anymore i'll test it out tomorrow for reception, i have no doubt it will do just fine. Pics to come! (once i wash the car)

Well duboy I am accessing the web thru a secure portal that filters out what the "Big Boys" don't want us to see. But I will look at it when I get home tonight.

Really nice interior combo - sorta the opposite of what I did. I went the "fun" route with silver dash and space cloth in my MCS because I though my VW's interior was too serious. Your Mini is almost VW-like - very elegant and serious! Looks great with the black exterior.

Not to nit-pick or anything, but shouldn't Mini match the plastic for the speaker surrounds to the anthracite interior trim?!

bee1000n, yeah, i thought the same thing. I think it's because i have the h/k system. If i had just boost, the speaker surrounds would be anthracite as well (at least in all of the floor models i saw). It doesn't bug me as much though, since the steering wheel and control stalks are also the light greyish color, so it's not too odd.

"So far, i've got the rear fog retrofit coming in a few days."

Can I ask where you ordered the rear fog kit from? P/N's? I can't get a rear fog in Oregon so I am on the hunt.
