Code PO1237 Map

Question, a week ago the cel came on and after checking the codes came up as a 1237 Map sensor low input. Well 46k miles ago I replaced it with a OEM Mini part so I figured it wasn't that so checked the bypass valve and found the diaphragm pod out of it's bracket so I locked it back in place and cleared the codes. Couple days later back on for the same thing and found the pod was loose again. This time I JB weld it in place keeping clear of all movement. Also found the small hose that comes off of it the clamp was loose. Well it's running worse now well only wants to stall if I push the clutch in but if I double clutch it will catch the rpm then won't die. Car still pulls hard (lots of mods) and the AFR gauge is showing 14.9-15 at a steady speed which is slightly lean but full throttle it's perfect in the 12s. Well today I did a smoke test and the only place smoke was coming out was the by-pass valve plastic rod that goes into the pod. Is that normal? Could that OE map sensor just be bad or the combo of both. BPV is a Detroit Speed. Oh and gas mileage took a nose dive as well.

From: Under the car. As per normal.

Seems like that would indicate the diaphragm inside is torn / leaking. Might that explain the good WOT performance (bypass valve shut by spring pressure) is decent but not low end / idle because the diaphragm isn't able to overcome the spring and open the bypass gate(?) not sure. The hose and linkage coming loose probably doesn't help either. Not sure how this plays with the P1237 though. Time for a new bypass valve?

Edit: Also found this, several potential contributing / confounding factor possibilities:
