R50/53 Inpa help

Inpa help
Hi guys I'm in new zealand and need help, nz new r53s dont work with obd2s and only work with inpa, however when i try to connect mine to inpa, i get a SYS 0004 ILLEGAL FORMAT OF ECU OBJECT FILE,
does this mean that i need to update my ecu with ncs expert? Does anyone have the files? Cheers
