Underneath the center Ebrake console - Could someone accurately and positively name this part?
This pic is not from my car.
I had previously (perhaps in error) referred to it as the DSC module or the TPM module and was (corrected or) told otherwise. I don't remember what they had called it and I don't have my Bentley on hand.
Remembering the aforementioned discussion, I came across this at a salvage yard and thought to take a photo of it for future reference and merely for the purpose of posing the question on the forum.
"sensor" - That was the word.
module vs sensor: The sensor and the module differ only in thatthe module includes a filtering capacitor and a pull-up resistor, whereas the sensor requires you to use them external.
'would've liked to cite semantics. But by definition - As such, in this case; I've proven to be wrong in my choice of word.
You were 100% right, that’s the DSC sensor. And the one you pictured is an early one aka PFL/early FL. The later ones are a bit shorter and more of a horizontal square.
I know from pulling the late model armrest consol3 at the junkyard, amd the late model sensor was explicitly labeled as such in big bold letters! Vs mine which looked just like that picture so I Had to figure out how to mod the FL console to fit around the earlier sensor!
