Question: abs fuse internal 10A Vs 30A engine bay

Hi all,

Anyone know what the functional difference between the 2 ABS fuses? I’ve done a quick test by removing one while the other remains.

removing fuse 33 - 10A internal ABS:
dsc, abs, tpms, explanation/parking break lights are on and Speedo doesn’t work. tach works but no speed on analog or digital.

removing 30A abs engine bay fuse:
dsc, abs lights are on. Everything else on dash works. However after some driving tpms also comes on.

background in another post, suffering abs sensor trifecta issue. And waiting on parts + weather to fix. With fuses in, each start up shows no issues initially. After some driving the trifecta comes on. But before the trifecta occurs braking is hard and gritty underfoot. Not safe. I have to force through the pedal feedback.

now wife needs to borrow the mini. As I take hers out of town for a recall issue . She’s not used to driving the mini so trying to eliminate the poor brake pedal feedback.

so pulling either fuse solves the “issue” but which one is better to pull. From my tests the 30A disrupts less systems dash/speedo etc. but is either responsible for something else beyond abs that is critical?

FYI she won’t be driving far during the week. Shops nearby etc.
