If you have auto wipers and dimming mirror you can pull the power from the mirror and ground behind the clock (you'll have to drill a hole and drop a screw in the sheetmetal). If not, you can stuff the wire along the windshield trim to the fuse box. I've been told it's actually easier to the fusebox as you've got a straight shot and no panels need to be removed.
I mounted mine on the passenger side of the mirror and it is out of the way to the point that I didn't want the remote display. I used the visor clip, stuff that under the front of the headliner, and used a piece of foam as a spacer from the top of the V1 to the headliner. Very secure and out of the way mount point.
