Pin removal tool

I need a pin removal tool that will work for the crank position sensor connector or coil pack connector (same connector, I think). Any idea which of the hundreds (thousands?) of available tools will work?

Background: Yesterday, I got several 0335 errors while driving as well as a 0341 when trying to start the car. Today, I removed the connector on the crank sensor to clean the contacts with electronics cleaner. Now the connector will not go back on. It slides on most of the way and then there's resistance. When I let go, it moves back up a little. I want to remove the pins for inspection. I may replace the connector. I may also replace the sensor but too soon to know.

While I don't know the exact tool to extract a pin/terminal, these two tool sets have helped me. There's usually a release tab on the pin that has to be lifted while tugging at the wire from the rear.

If you post a photo of the connector, I could provide more help -- my mini is with the SO doing chores, so I can't check.

These are a good tool to have:

And a set of these:

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply. This is a photo of the coil pack connector -- much easier to photograph than the crank sensor.

Remove the blue piece with a pick or small screwdriver.
Then, you'll see the retaining tabs for each terminal. Use a precision flat screwdriver to lift the retainer while tugging at the wire at the rear. Should pop out.

You won't be able to remove the terminal on the sensor side. If the sensor side is wonky, just replace the sensor. Your connector looks fine though -- maybe the center terminal might be a little worn, but seems to be making contact. Could have a bad crimp on the wire side though

Thanks. I ordered a set of pin removal tools from Amazon. The set you linked are NLA but I found another set with good reviews.

I want to get the car back on the road ASAP. Summer is the season for driving that car (and summer doesn't last long in Wisconsin) so I already ordered a new sensor and two new connectors: one for the crankshaft sensor and one for the coil pack. The one pictured above is the coil pack (because it was a lot easier to photograph). Same connector. I ordered a replacement connector for the coil pack because the one in the car is missing the red tab and since I was already ordering one, might as well order two.

@MVPeters Oops. I started that sentence a different way and didn't read it carefully after changing direction. Edited. Thanks. I certainly DO want to get the car back on the road ASAP.
