Clutch disengage distance - Do OEM MINI clutch master and slave make a difference?

Have been battling getting enough clutch pushrod distance to yield adequate clutch disengagement.

Went down the bleeding route and I'm as positive as I can be w.o microsizing myself and going SCUBA in the clutch line to verify no air bubbles - these are the thingis I tried - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...can-i-try.html

I still have to double pump the clutch to get smooth gear shifting.

Was talking with a friend who has built race cars ad he said that seems like the volume put out the master is not enough for the slave to push the piston far enough.

Have others had issues with after market masters?

Anyone have a spec on how much the piston should move? I'm wondering if I'm moving enough distance on one push but maybe something about my clutch need a longer throw distance. Things worked well before the slave failed - I then replaced the slave and master.

My current slave is this FTE (OutMotoring says FTE is OEM https://www.outmotoring.com/clutch-o...516777428.html)

The current master is this Autozone Duralast

Tells you what you need to know.
Double pumping works, so there's still air in the system.
If It were travel distance of the shaft, double pumping wouldn't do anything, because it wouldn't compound the pressure, it would simply engage, disengage, engage. Air is what's causing it to build with additional pumps.

I have to ask, did you replace the master for a reason, or simply for PM?
I've never seen a Mini Master go bad, that hadn't been damaged somehow, slaves... Absolutely, but not Masters.

Personally, I've had good luck using Mod-Mini's method, power bleeding with the slave disconnected, elevated and tap...tap...tap...
With plenty of fluid, and making sure it didn't get too low in the reservoir, as to not introduce more air up top.

Good Luck

These are a pita to correctly bleed I just went through a nightmare bleeding....after you've correctly installed the slave WITH compression tool that can be made.. it NEEDS to sit over night compressed..not doing so I NEVER got correct pedal pressure . Read through my dilemma, maybe itle help you. I can lend you my tool I made too. My buddies used it 2x too already .

Update
Solved issue and don't have answer to the question
Reinstalled the OEM MINI master and properly bled and it works. So don't know if there is any issue with the Duralast master
