Transmission issues

I just rebuild my motor and I replaced my axles and when I went to try to put it in gear it won’t go in but it’ll still move a little like it’s halfway in and it’ll go into reverse but it crunches it’s way in and shakes the car and idk what I did wrong it has a new clutch new pressure plate remained flywheel and new redline transmission fluid with new shifter cables

it does let me shift into gear with the engine off and if I turn it on it’ll move in gear but if I take it out of gear I can’t put it back in

Sounds pretty much like my bad Clutch Slave Cylinder. If it is, then that's not so bad. $30 for the exact same-as-OEM-part from Pelican or Out Motoring. my first time bleed went well.

I would love for it to be that but I just put a new one on because when I took the old one off it exploded I just bled the new one but it’s still a tad spongy would that be it?

Maybe a bad bleed? My clutch pedal went from spongy to feeling perfect the moment it was fully bled. I could not bleed this thing properly until I bench bled the part off the car as described in the link about my first bleed.

Your situation caught my eye because I had the same symptoms:
-shifting works with the car off
-won't go into any gear with the engine running

But what do I know? I have only bled one thing once. Lots of others know more than me.

by bench bleeding did he mean setting the slave cylinder up with that jig like in mod minis videos because I’ve already bleed it like that but I can’t seem to get a stream of fluid to come out like his videos it’s more of a line of drops

I feel silly quoting myself because there's an excellent chance Brandon knows a helluva lot more than me but here goes:

By Pre-Bleed (more properly Bench Bleeding) I mean with the Slave Cylinder removed from the car and compressed by the tool I slowly filled it with fluid and worked the bubbles out of the unit by pushing on the plunger with my thumb and other times by tapping the plunger with a wrench. Sometimes I could hold the unit vertically during the process which of course you can't do when it is on the car. I could only add a few cc's of fluid at a time and then I worked that into the unit mostly by pushing and tapping on the plunger while it was compressed already. There was enough play left in the plunger that I could move it slightly and in this way I was able to fill it up with no bubbles inside - I think. Then with as much fluid as it could hold I carefully carried it over to the car and installed it without spilling any fluid from the unit. Seemed to work very well. Maybe Pre-bleeding this Clutch Slave Cylinder is a good thing.

Here is the link to my full description.

oh ok that makes sense I’ll give it a try after work today and hopefully it was just a bad bleed job like you suggested I’ve never had the best luck bleeding this thing I can rebuild the motor but I can’t led the clutch lol

update on the bleeding process ive spent the entire day bleeding this stupid thing even hooked up a bottle to tell if air is coming out or not and there isn't but when i bolt up the slave cylinder the pedal still hits the floor i have spent all day getting the air out of the system and the only thing i can think of is that the master cylinder and or slave broke during the process. im out of ideas and i don't reaslly want to replace the master if i don't have to
