Has anyone tried the Davico 18331 header / catalytic converter?

Today I was struck by the dreaded cracked precat on my ‘03 r53.

With Michigan winters and the resulting rust, I’ll have a hard time forking out the money for a expensive replacement, so tomorrow I will try to find someone to weld it.

I tripped across the Davico 18331 on Rockauto at $256 and the price seems too good to be true, https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/davico,18331,catalytic+converter,5808

Just trying to keep the car one the road, thanks for your help!

That's funny, I just came here to find the answer to this same question, for my 2003 R53. Looks like Davico is located about a 45 minute drive from me.

I don't remember seeing this product on Rock Auto before. I notice it is also available at Parts Geek, though the cost is a bit more.

Hopefully somebody has some info.

It’s also easier to self install as well cuz it’s two pieces, 100% a work out because you have to get that perfect angle to push it in .
