R53 - Noob Question... Under Cowl Drain on Driver' Side??
'04 R53 -
I was cleaning the engine bay and was able to clean/clear the passenger side (right), (under cowl) drain hole.
However I am unable to see a drain hole for the (left) driver side, under the cowl.
I imagine there is one but can't seem to see past/around the brake booster or wiper support bracket.
Sorry for the dumb question.

I’ll look but I’m sure its there.
Btw, the sun can cook the brake reservoir through that cowl grill and mine failed. I put some aluminum tape over the new reservoir to give it some UV protection.
Also, on the passenger side the rain can get into the ABS wiring and cause problems. I tie-wrapped a piece of plastic sheet over the connector “just to help the wiring harness stay dry”.
Mini’s aren’t very resistant to electrical gremlins.
Good luck,
Peter

Hey @ptkacik - thanks for the additional input.
I too noticed my brake fluid reservoir looking a bit yellow and brittle.
I'm probably going to pull the airbox and plastic heat shield to see what I can find.
I'm sure there is a drain in there somewhere. If not; I'll be tapping a hole and adding a drain tube.
