Hello all,
I'm in a bind, I'm trying to start my engine build and am only needing connecting rods to start. I already have carillo piston heads waiting but not a single shop in the US or England has the carillo connecting rods and it's going to be anywhere from 7-14 weeks for them to come in. Anyone have experience with other rods that work just as well and might be readily available?

 

Well, I don't know if this is a fair price or even the right part, but there's several ebay sellers listing Carrillo rods for the R53 engine.

Might try hitting them up through their website or phone if you're not comfortable going through eBay. Might get a lower price, too, since they won't have to pay the ebay fees.

Thx but I have already spoke with everyone on ebay and they do not have them in stock even if it shows that they do.

Yeah sure is... and if you go to the https://wgmotorparts.co.uk/ website, it shows they sold 8 in last 24 hours. When you refresh the page it said they sold 5 in last 24hours and then 15 in last 24hours. They can't make up their minds on how many they sold! What a joke and blatant marketing scam.
