In order to limit downtime, I picked up a very nice subframe to prep/paint and replace all bushing and ball joints. Once complete, I planned to pull my original subframe and just reinstall the replacement in a matter of hours.

A friend mentioned that he didn't know if that was possible as the subframes were drilled online when these cars were built. Therefore the holes may not line up.

I find this hard to believe, but I figured I would ask if anyone has had issues swapping front subframes like I plan to.

I also find that hard to believe. Hopefully it isn’t bent from a previous accident. Once you drop the old one temp install it before you swap everything over.
