Yes, I know the RIGHT thing is to march up to the MINI dealer and throw down my money for a brand new MINI OEM alternator.
So that ground has been covered, thanks. No need to bloviate more about that.

But!

I'm betting many folks have successfully used a remanufactured alternator. ModMini uses them apparently, and while I realize there's a risk of adding to my workload with a failure, I thought I'd ask:

Who has had a successful experience with a remanufactured alternator, and what was the source/brand?

I bought mine 2 years ago for my R50 from rockauto. Still going strong.

 

I got a denso reman from Amazon in 2018, still going strong. Denso 210-0524 Remanufactured...

What’s the current OEM amp? I know there’s 105-110 and 120. I just found - 250 high output one.

reason why I’m asking is. I’m currently running a lithium battery. 2.5lbs dave battery. Been working fine. Has 220ca and only had 7aH

im about to install airbags and methanol kit and maybe a sub and am that has 600 watts.

really don’t want to change my battery to a deep at deep one.

any thoughts on this? I won’t be running the air suspension nor the radio while the car is off.
