Need help diagnosing cel p1237

My car seeeeeeeems to run ok though there's an occasional kinda yoyo when cruising even as speeds sometimes..then after I shut down the car and restart it the cel pops on and it throws a p1237 fuel pump circuit code..is my fuel pump on its way out ? It is a high mileage highly modded car so I wouldn't doubt that. I just don't wanna throw a new pump in and start up the car and have the code comeback..
anone else get this code , what was your fix ??????

P1237 is for the upstream MAP sensor.
There's two on this engine, the downstream one is what you see on the intake manifold just below the IC.
The upstream one is on a bracket between the air filter box and cylinder head.

Ha, loose terminal in the connector plug was causing no voltage to the sensor so I fixed that and she's running topnotch once again.. I've now repaired BOTH map sensor harnesses.... lol bmw use that darn biodegradable wire insulation like Mercedes did...geez deteriorating wire BY DESIGN , gooooooooood one.
