R50/53 Can I use Pentofrost sf antifreeze concentrate?
.
I think if you're going with that specific brand, for our application the G11 Pentofrost NF blue stuff is correct.

The SF is G12 pink stuff --- any particular reason why you'd want to use it?
Because it is without silicates?
Pentosin doesn't list MINI/BMW under the application list,
so I'd be wary.

Funnily enough I went looking and stumbled across this pic from a VW dealer pouring G12 into an R50,
just doesn't look right to me!

.
To keep it simple, I just use the MINI stuff because it's $22 a gallon from the dealer which ain't too bad.

It's actually cheaper than the Zerex G48 that I had to use once when I was in a pinch and it was easily available at a local O'Reilly's.
