210k miles 04 R50 manual commuter to work
New timing chain, rear main seal, clutch, and suspension.
Liner falling from the roof, speakers are shorted by water, rust on driver side door, passenger door damaged so that aligning the window is not an option, play in steering wheel, vibrations around 70 mph, tie rods need to be replaced, and wispy white smoke came out the exhaust today.

I have always done my own work, but I'm exhausted here. I wana buy a used Tesla in January as I got a new job and am in line for a solid raise by then. My options are to hope that the Mini survives the 8k miles of commuting left before January, buying a remanned head on eBay for about $500, or buying a used engine for about $800 from eBay.

I want to do nothing and hope it lasts until January. Do yall think it will pull it?

Ultimately I intend on fixing it up, but as a casual side project, not as an urgent matter that has to be done over the weekend before the next day I go to work.

 

I know someone how got a reman head off of ebay with a 6 month warranty for about $500. That was nearly a year ago and it’s still going good.

 

I don't want to work on this car anymore. Do yall think it will last 8k miles with the leaky valve seals?
