After using a weeding tool as a prop rod for the last 6 months, I finally bit the bullet and replaced the hood struts.. easy peasy! As well I'd never had the rear wiper blade so I took care of that finally too.

I replaced our with OEMs as well as they were starting to slow down but were still holding the bonnet up.

Very easy repair.

 

My original fronts still work fine, but my rear ones in the boot lid died a few years back and replaced with ones from Amazon. Works fine now!
