R50/53 Fan resistor repair problem
Fan resistor repair problem
I've had the workaround resistor (mounted to the bumper support bracket) on my R53 for the past few years. Finally got around to doing the repair right by replacing the original resistor.
However; after repairing it with my dubious soldering skills (that 10AWG wire is tough to solder); my low speed fan is not working now (at 220F).
It seems like a pretty straightforward repair. Am I right in thinking that my soldering was terrible or could there be another reason it's not working now?
(The high speed fan still kicks in as expected)
