Backward question R53 to R50

OK, weird question. I'm into SCCA club racing. Have the opportunity to get an S model chassis that will be parted out by a friend of mine. Now the class I want to run will require a base model setup for the engine. My question is in regards to the engine management system/harness and ECU. Being an S model I know the wiring is set up for the forced induction. I can swap in a R50 intake simple enough. Would I need to swap out the entire wiring system?

Comments?

Are you trying to run a supercharged engine as N/A? Or are you swapping an N/A engine into the car?

The supercharged engine has a lower compression ratio so if you run it as N/A it may be down on power and not run right.

If you swap in an entire N/A engine, wiring harness, and ECU I think that would be your best bet.

I have an R53 and haven't worked with any N/A stuff so just my best guess.

I just have an opportunity for an R53, but in SCCA I would have to run it totally restricted as an S in STU or could run H Production if I can get it to run base specs. The motor issue is the easy part. The real question was could you use the R53 wiring to run a base setup or would the engine harness and ECU need to be completely swapped.
