Ever smoke test for vacuum leaks ? See how i rigged mine up ? Cost 20$ and very effective , I found my vacuum leak it 1min . But I also knew I had one as I only was at negative 7lb or or in neutral idle when it should be around 13 or 14lb..
but you just pump the smoke through the hard line under the intercooler that plugs into the front of the sc, light the cigar and put it in line and just pump the pump and if you see smoke come out , there's an issues there... o yea, block off you throttlebody with like a glove or something as smoke will come out of the intake filter and might fool you
@MiniManAdam
That's brilliant!
Although, I never encountered a vacuum leak, myself.
A co worker suspects he may have a leak.
I had no idea that there was such a method or device...even a DIY = Thanx for the pics!
I'm watching to see what the OP finds, I'm experiencing something similar with my '05 MCS, my butt dyno says that the power comes on around 3k, where it used to be right off the mark. I'm thinking that I may have a belt tensioner not doing its job, but there's a question there, Would a bad set of tensioner damper bushes cause the tensioner to bounce and cause this? I ask because my damper bushes are shot, I found that when I did the timing chain and guides at 180kmiles.
At idle my OBD says I have 6 in Hg Manifold pressure, at rest with engine off, I'm reading 22 in Hg (I'm at 9000 ft elevation, so that's about right for barometric pressure), at full throttle and accelerating nicely I have 35 in Hg showing, so about 1 atmosphere (14.7psi) from idle to full boost, which seems a bit low with a 15% pulley and a 2% overdrive, but it does have 183k miles on the original SC.
Any thoughts?

That’s a bit harsh. What are your symptoms, and OBD codes? Mileage on car, and any mods
May be ..... But here is mine.
Hesitation at 2000rpm first gear only.. Accelerate away. Revs suddenly drop to 1500 for about 0.25 of a second then abruptly kick back in and the car accelerates to high revs and great performance.
No codes.
Traction control off.
No clutch slip.
Swapped from a car with no issues on acceleration.
Coils.
Leads.
Plugs.
Air filter.
BPV
Throttle body.
BPV visually observed as pulled in at idle.

Fuel pump and filter? I have 175k on an 05 r53 - he has had 2 filter changes, and a new pump at 15 years / 140k. Fuel delivery does not trigger OBD codes, so I asked.
