R56 exhaust swap onto r53 and craven shifter cover questions
So I aquire this brand new quicksilver r56 exhaust and 2nd generation cravenspeed shift well cover for my friend over the weekend and text him Sunday once I'm home and say " I have a surprise for you " and he says the same thing so I tell him go 1st and he tells me he got and put on an alta exhaust and been waiting to show me . I was like really ? And he perfers to have the alta over this quicksilver I went and got so now I miiiiiiiiiight adapt it to my r53
will this 2nd gen shift wshiftwell cover work on my r53 or is it r56 specific ?
with the exhaust i know i need to modify the battery box and hangers but can I only say cut an arch to clear the muffler into the batter box and raise it as little as possibly to keep the battery in it and build an extension outward over it into the trunk through the fold down thing??
do you think it will be much louder than my pacesetter exhaust ? I attached a pic of it and no those aren't mufflers on the end they are like boom tubes id call them. So if the quicksilver would be quiter i would FOR SURE adapt it on , only thing I fear is adapting it on and having it be louder then ruining a brand new beautiful exhaust..
What are your guys thoughts on this ? I'm at a cross roads..

I can't comment on the exhaust, but the CS shift well cover is Gen2 specific. You may be able to 3D model and print an adapter plate of sorts to make it work, but you're probably better in the long run just selling it or contacting CS customer service and seeing if they'll exchange it for the right one.
