R56 exhaust on an R53?

Hi, I removed the battery box on my 2005 Mini Cooper S to make room for a straight exhaust and today someone on Club Mini Quebec made me realize that the R56 exhaust are straight! Did anyone fitted one under their R53? Just curious since the R56 exhaust is now another option to consider for my exhaust! I know that some people just took some parts from the R56 like the resonator, but never read a thread talking about the ''full exhaust'' (back part) Thanks!

Here is a link to club member who did this mod. He found that the exhaust alone was waaaaaay too loud. Used a JCW Center pipe w/resonator to calm it down. Without it public street travel was not an option.

I'm ressurecting my thread since I have a new question about the R56 exhaust! Anyone know the size of the stock R56 exhaust? And is the JCW R56 exhaust the same size?

Right now I have an OBX stainless header sitting here waiting to be installed, I have yet to buy a high flow cat and the rest of the exhaust (either choosing a muffler + resonator or getting an R56 catback) Since the end of the header is 2.5'', I would want to keep it the same size all the way! That's why i'm wondering the size of the R56 exhaust! Thanks!

2.36" or 60mm, IIRC.
