2004 Cooper S with dealer JCW kit
Belt tensioner came apart and trashed the belt driving surface of the crank pulley.
PO said it is an Alta Pulley, but I see only lightweight pulleys on the Alta web site.
It looks like it comes apart so maybe the belt surface can be replaced. There is a keyway in the pulley but none on the crank shaft end. The pulley is stamped 849480 on the outside ring with six torx screws and it is stamped 102 on the inside ring (which I assume means 2% oversize). It weighs 5.8 pounds.
Anyone know if this can be rebuilt by replacing just the belt driving surface?
EDIT: The PO said he forgot that he had installed an ATI damper and it should be rebuildable. I checked the ATI racing web site and there is a similar "Super Damper" listed there but damper parts are not listed so I sent an email asking about replacing just the belt driving part.

Reason: update
It looks a lot like an ATI super damper which many consider the best replacement crank pulley, but the possible part number you gave is different. ATI charges about $75 for a regular rebuild, and they say they should be rebuilt, or at least inspected, after 5 years of use. I would contact ATI for confirmation of the pulley and rebuilding info.
Re-read your post and see you have concerns about additional damage. If it is an ATI, the rebuild form says additional parts required beyond a regular rebuild will be replaced at the warehouse distributor price level. ATI’s are fully rebuildable and they list a new 2% pulley on their site for $372 for reference.
