Thank You. Ok ordering it. Did you have to use Teflon tape? Any other tips? What about the water temp?

I used liquid thread seal from autozone. I have installed chrono in my 04. So it has temp gauge. I also have a scangauge ii to monitor water temp.

Do you have a R50 or R53. If you have a R50 it very difficult to add water temp inline . Do to radiator hose location. It is easy on a R53. Hose is exposed on the top front of charge air cooler . That's why I run a scan gauge on mine. I just upgrade from big center speedo to chrono. So now I have water temp on dash.

Personally I’d avoid tapping your own send location if you can help it. The craven adapter is a pricy little thing, but worth it IMO.

Im running one for my autometer send unit. Adding a brass 45 elbow from the adapter to the send unit helps fitment a ton.

If you have the room and want a lil extra security, you can use a fuel pump mount to mount the send unit remotely. This will insulate it from vibration and it won’t bend or break if you knock it around while working on the car.

Here’s my pseudo write up:

Good luck with the gauges

Oh yes, it's the same thing. I misread post #6. Thought you were contemplating an alternate location for the oil press send unit. Don't mind me

Here's the fuel pump mount I used:
Amazon Amazon

It's a nice piece. The 2" ID was a smidge too large for my liking, and I had to add a bit of extra rubber insulation to make the fit on the send unit really snug. YMMV with the Marshall send unit though.

I haven't thought about or researched water temp sensor locations, but my gut reaction is to cut and add a new coupler to the top rad hose with the specific fitting you need for the sensor. Something like this:

Thank You I’ll be using the prosport gauges. Hope it’s around that size.

ya i saw that for the water temp. But I’ll loose the bleeding screw if i replace that area.

I meant I would cut a section of the rad hose out and add a new fitting coupler to the top radiator hose, not replace the bleed valve coupler. A little bit upstream of the bleed valve coupler seems like the best place, as long as you're mindful of the T-MAP sensor. Downstream of the bleed valve coupler looks like it'd be a little tight.

ahh good call. I was just gonna use the sender to bleed. But that will work. You happen to know the radiator inside diameter size? 52mm?
