I recently bought a used pair of aero side skirts and they came with the adaptor sills. While doing research on the fasteners I will need I learned that they are 2nd gen adapter sills. I assume they will work with the 1st gen aero skirts since the previous guy said he took them off his car. I just wanted to check to make sure. From the pictures I've seen the overall shape looks the same. My question - Can 2nd Gen aero side skirt adapter sills be used with 1st gen aero side skirts? Thanks!

I've ordered the R56 Adapters for my R53 Aero sills... I'll follow up on the fit here when I do the project.
Skirts are at body shop getting painted now.

If i remember right you have to use the Gen 1 aero adapters on the Gen 2 to make the Gen 2 Aero side skirts fit the Gen 1 MINI. Unless you find something that works?
