This is puzzling (steering angle sensor) - forget it

My iCarSoft code reader has complained about a communication error with the steering angle sensor in my 2005 Cooper S. Today I pulled off the coverings below the steering column intending to take a look at the sensor. My car has ASC, but apparently not DSC. so no sensor. I’d delete this post if I could. Embarrassed.

If you had deleted it, I would have one less chuckle in my day.

Kind regards,

Charlie

The sensor is here behind the steering wheel and down the shaft for cars with DSC: https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/32306793632/

The other system (ASC) work off of the ABS sensor on each wheel and reads wheel speed. Most of the time with those its a bad ABS sensor.
