Black flag shifter delete problems

Had saw a post on here about the Black flag shift boot delete. Seemed cool since the wife's has been torn up in her R53 for years. Naturally it won't work do to having an Alta short shifter in it. Sure would have been nice for this to have been specified. Not only can you not get the spring over the base where the shift handle slides through. Even if it would the said base is higher than the console so absolutely no way for this to work. Does anyone know how to contact Black Flag about a refund/return? I am probably just out of luck but for anyone else out there just be aware if you have a short throw shifter.

Try their IG page. They seem to be active on that. Contingent if it is for an R53 and design I might be interested as I have been kicking around the idea of seeing what one looks like.

A buddy of mine has a 3d printer. We are going to try to replicate it and modify it so it will work on a short throw. I will let everyone know at the first of the week.

wanted to reply back to you guys. I modified it and got it to work. Heated the spring and enlarged it so it would go over the alta shift base. Also enlarged the disc so it would slide over as well.

Use a dremel to make hole bigger and use a bigger rubber o ring after. Hard to explain but I had same issue but still made it work. Hit me up at IG J_spool and I’ll send you pics

Yea that's what I did. I used a dremel a couple of weeks ago and use a torch to heat and expand the spring. Works fine now.
