R50/53 replaced the clutch, now there's a vibration
replaced the clutch, now there's a vibration
So I recently bought a 2003 r50 mini cooper that just needed a clutch, and after replacing the clutch there is a vibration in the steering wheel and body of the car at 70+ mph. The wheels have balanced and aligned, and I have also replaced the passengers side CV axle, which I thought may have been the problem. Replacing the axle seems to have made the vibration better, but it is still noticeable. The drivers side CV axle looks to be in good condition, and all the suspension bushings and joints seem firm and tight. The only thing that I can think of is that when I replaced the clutch, I replaced the lower ball joint nut with a self-locking nut and washer from napa. At this point I'm completely stumped, and just need a little help. Thanks.
