Mystery Engine Harness Connector

I am getting toward the end if a transmission job and was making good progress until I found the pictured connector from the engine wiring harness (octopus). I cannot find where it connects. Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

p.s. I gave a 6 speed tranny...is this connector for an automatic?

I recently replaced my wiring harness, so that connector does look familiar... cannot quite put my finger on it though. Google searched "r53 connectors" and the above link has a picture of the coolant temperature sensor and it looks like it'd fit the connector you pictured. How this helps.

Looks like the connector for the coolant temp sensor. Located lower left on cylinder head.

Found it. A fresh set of eyes today. Connection was just below the MAP bracket....plain as day...Now to install the new drive shafts and hubs, reinstall the subframe, pads and rotors and button it up!

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
