Help! Driver's door won't open from inside or outside

I need some help with my 2004 MCS. Driver's door will not open from inside or outside! The exterior door handle seems to be in the locked position - meaning there is no resistance when pressing the handle to open the door. I can unlock and lock the doors from the key or central locking, The inside door handle will unlock the door however the door will not open. Any leads on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I tightened up my cable once and ran it incorrectly, did the same thing, had to remove the door panel with the door closed, not fun, and was able to pull the cable and access the door lock after it was removed.

I sort of had the same problem on my passenger door..I squeezed the handle then sprayed some Corrosion X in the little space that opens up...Must use a spray straw....Everything worked great after that....
