Clutch/gearbox swap
Been doing some reading but not fully finding what I'm looking for.
I'm a about yo start a clutch job on my 02 non S.
After reading about the Midlands gear box what is all involved in swapping it out for the getrag gear box.. what works and what doesn't, what obstacles will I be facing ..

Just to clarify, the 05-06 R50 came with a 5 speed Getrag, completely different beast than the 6 speed Getrag.
As for what to expect, if you where thinking of doing the 5 to 5 speed swap, skip it. You'll end up changing all the same parts to do a 5 to 6 speed swap. There is a on older document out there from Texas SpeedWerks and they detailed what was needed to do the swap. They did buy a bunch of new parts that you may or may not want to do but it was a step by step swap.
