R50/53 What's this ?

OK, I'm replacing all rear control arms and came across this part. It's the box in the middle of the photo with the arm attached to the upper rear control arm, driver side. A quick call to Randy Webb and the answer was given.

There's a reason I don't do that much work on my own car!
Headlight aiming sensor for the xenons on the right rear. If you dont have xenons, you dont have this part.
There is one on the left front as well. The system averages the readings between the two to determine the loading of the car and adjusts the headlight aiming accordingly. Actually a very sophisticated system for such a dinky car.
The DSC sensor is located behind the parking brake under the center console, ahead of the rear cupholder. Cars without DSC wont have this part.
