For those of you who are running methanol or denatured alcohol injection.....what size nozzle are you using? I've got a pump that puts out around 120psi....and at first I ran a 2GPH nozzle, and it didn't really seem to affect the AFR's much....and didn't seem to really do much at all. I then upgraded to a 3GPH nozzle, and it "Feels" a little better.....the AFR's will richen up a bit when it turns on....if I'm getting around 11:1 at WOT, when the injection turns on it gets a little richer....like 10.8:1. Should I trying going to a 4GPH nozzle and see what it does? I don't get any pinging or detonation any more (that's what the point of me doing the injection)....but it doesn't seem like the motor picks up any power, which I thought it would from the cooler intake charge.

What size nozzle are you running?

 

Strictly from what you've reported, unless you're going to tune on it, I'd stick with the 3gph.
Sounds like you're richening up a bit (but not too much) but gaining a little power, which is a best case scenario. Normally richening up will slightly lose you power with no other changes, so win / win.

Remember, without tuning for it, you're only talking about the difference in how your car runs in the summer, compare to the spring or fall, so without some sort of timed run, you may not "feel" that much of a change.
But I'll bet your valves and piston tops are much happier.
