I have some friends that run meth on their evo's and have heard of people getting fairly good results with it in supercharged cars, so I was thinking about throwing a kit on my mcs with a pulley. If anyone has any info on it, it would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Methanol injection is great for high boost applications (pulleyed MINI). Misfitoy is the only person that I know of with it on NAM, ( I'm sure there are many others) He has his set up to engage when he is over 10lbs of boost. This will soak up any hot spots in the intake and help to avoid detonation. As far as power gained from it, ... I'm really not sure. But I would suggest talking to Misfitoy about, he would be more knowledgeable.

 

I can tell you it works wonders on my STI. I'm curious about the R53 platform on meth.

I know meth isnt a power adder like n20 but if I run it I would safely be able to run a lot more boost. I was just hoping to find some more input on what people were running and what kind of boost would be safe.

 

I found a portable meth thing... not sure what it is exactly, the caption mentioned "lab". I'm not up on the lingo though...

 

Methonal injection should work just as well as on other cars - eliminating hot spots and basically turning pump gas into race fuel (in anti-knock ability).

Sadly enough, my home state of Nebraska is supposed to have more meth labs than any other state.

 

Im sure it would work great just like in evo's and sti's but Im just wondering what needs to be done tuning wise and how much boost I should.could run?

 

Any time boost is over 10psi it will help to soak up hot spots
