lately, my girlmeat has been calling the mini "my wife" despite my claims that it is, in fact, my brother.

The girlmeat will keep her trap shut, however, as i wash and wax her dirty 04 impreza (RS) since she will not.

oh, and girls do like to touchy. though i do not want them to put their oily make up residue on it.

ok guys, maybe someone can help me out. Im thinking about getting a mini and ive test drivin it and everything and I like it. The only thing is im 19 years old and il be 20 in january and like every other young man I am very into women. my question is do you guys attract women with your mini,,or do they respond funny? let me know thanks
girls think the MINI is a wimpy car ... while they smile at you and say it is cute ... they really think you are a clown, silly and not very manly ... so stay away from it

they would like to have one themselves, but a man driving one ... well it's a little silly

Girls like MINIs, be sure to keep your MINI clean.
Girls like "color" so choose carefully. Not something plain.
Nice custom wheels also help.

White roof and mirrors- try white wheels (harder to keep clean)
Black roof and mirrors- try powder coated black wheels with polished silver lip in 18". Or anthracite is good too.

I think you will be fine. Stick with a quiet exhaust. Borla Street, Milltek sport, JCW kit exhaust.

Since I've had my MINI, several attractive women have approached

asking all kinds of questions concerning the car. Never has this ever happened

to me before. If I wasn't married , OH Boy. The car is the ultimate conversation

starter. As long as you're cool about, You should increase the amount of phone

numbers in your little black book or now cell phone substantially.

My wife just called while I was reading this... I said "Whats up girlmeat?" it was the longest pause I have ever heard from her! I must thank you as she never shuts up

I do get quite a few looks from the ladies. (I'm married, so I'm off the market.) The wife loves the MINI. Of course, we still haven't broken-in the MINI totally yet...

Good luck!

How to attract women
Frankly, I cannot comment on how to attract women. Something in the air I would guess. I rarerly live in that air. As for cars, here are my experiences this year:

1. Many pp, young, old, grizzled, smooth, and attractive or not stop and comment on the MINI. Most seem to think it is 'cute'. Not what I had in mind.
2. My daily driver is an '05 Chrysler 300 Touring Sedan (no, it does not have a Hemi) in light green mint
3. At least TWICE as many pp have stopped and stared and asked (about the Hemi, they think that is funny somehow) about the 300 than EVER asked about the MINI. To me the things looks remind me of the Green Hornet car(don't believe me? Go online at www.greenhornet.com and see for yourself)
4. Moral of the story: If you want to attract young and old alike, grizzled, cute, men, women, whatever, get yourself a 300. Both come loaded for about the same price.

As for how to attract women otherwise? Still can't say...

Hi Ho Silver (the Mini)
Hi Ho Hornet (the 300)

Last date I went on, she got into the car and said it was like a big red roller skate!

And I second countrym's comments - buying what you want because you like it is much more attractive to women than trying to buy something that you think will attract them.

That said, I almost sold my car back in March, and I'd be lying if I said that my single status didn't factor into the decision to keep it!

It only works on MINI geeks.

I can see you now. Girl walks up and you start popin the hood showing off the intercooler and then proced to tell her about the timing chain and oil squirters and so forth.

Hey I'm girl who loves MINIs and I'm 19 as well. If I found a guy that drove a MINI, it would totally be a plus, in my opinion. I guess it depends on the girl, but I think a guy in a MINI would be hot. Besides, it would be sweet if me and my guy both drove the same car. I think you should go for it. There are some colors that are more girly than others, and the S seems more like a guy car to me, but ultimately it's about what you prefer.

well how bout u and me go out on a nice date?

i totally agree... if i see a girl in a mini (esp a s) i think that's really cool... and it's good if we both drive the same car too.. hehe

yes, the mini attracts girls... yet where i live girls 19 years old driving minis are ultra stuck up... never wave, never look, even a friendly wave and never responds...

and yes.. guys, girls, young, old... eveyrone responds to a mini.. i once passed a school bus full of children.. infront of me is a beetle and almost every single kid swung to the back, then to the side as i passed them waving along the way! wow

I get a lot of "do you fit?" etc.. and "why'd you buy such a small car?" to which I respond, I'm reverse compensating.

It never works...

Unfortunately for me, I live in a very gay community and I'm about 6'3 200lbs and I dress well (at least i try to)... Combine the semi-stylish clothes with a very style-oriented car and my general young, kinda half fit body and I get much more attention from gay dudes.... oh well Maybe some nice gay guys have nice straight *** hag friends for me.

I find my MINI attracts more 19 and 20 year old guys! And since girls aren't my bag baby, i'd say he's doing his job quite well!!
...just a little input from the "10 percent" crowd..

My wife actually was the one intially interested in the Mini. She picked the color too so I think chicks dig it.

So far, I've only had one female tell me that she likes the car. Of course, this was the first time I parked it anywhere. Kids love the car. My little nephew went crazy over it the first time he saw it and he's only three years old.

ok guys sounds good so far, but have any of you guys ever been talkin to a girl and she found out you had a mini or you guys walked out to your mini and she was turned off, so i guess thats what i should have asked in the beginning if girls ever reject you because of your car.

if ANY girl rejects you because of your car ... she is worthless anyway.
this might not make sense at your age now, but she is.

Only once, but once I took her for a ride in it that all changed. She called it a clown car initially, and made fun of it, but after I took her in it to pick some stuff up for work she always asked me when I was gonna take her out for another ride in the clown car.... She said it was fun to ride in and loved the looks people gave it, and her, when they saw it. Said she would love to get one someday.

Seriously though, if the only way you think you are going to attract a woman is with your car then you need to do a lot more work than just on which car to buy. That or move away from LA.

I dont live in LA, and I can get girls just fine, and obviously I wouldnt date a girl that only likes me because of my car or anything like that, but with all that said, obvioulsy you still gata look good for the ladies so i'm just giving senarios here to see how women respond to the car.
