Here is an excellent blog of the right way to install an electric oil pressure gauge on R52/3 Mini. I will wager that a mechanical gauge if properly installed, is likely more reliable, not to mention significantly simpler and cheaper. And he used a quality sender.

 

Thanks again for your input I really appreciate it and your time. I have decided to go with the Autometer ES series for one the night color will match the rest of the gauges but wished it had a silver face and bezel but I think those will do.
