I wanted to share with you my experience with swapping out a set of panther black seats out of a 2005 or 2006 into my 2003 S.

Bottom line, I had to swap out both the airbags themselves and the seat belt retention system to get the airbag light to go off.

Belt tensioners are not a problem for swap, very easy to do.

Airbags were a bit more of challenge in that it required taking off the back of the seat and a bit of digging to access the airbag.

The 2005-2006 airbags are different but the seat itself was set up to handle the airbags from my 2003 without issue.

After plugging it all back together, I erased the airbag code and the light blinked 6 times and went out.

Mission accomplished, I have a sweet set of panther black seats in my car and no airbag light!

Delighted.

 

The passenger seat will have one plug (white I believe) that is the sensor pad, this will not have anything plugged into it from the car.
