R53 Auxiliary Light relay check?

How can I tell if the green large relay is working? There are several terminals I think 8 and this powers the optional driving lights in the grille. The switch lights up when depressed but lights do not work and are new. The two wires going to the light are red and brown so I have the red going to the light and the brown going to the ground. When I pull the relay it removed the power from the switch so that tells me power is going through it.

you do know that the rally lights, when activated, will only come on with the high beams (assuming they are wired according to the factory instructions)

the switch light ON means they are activated .... but will only come on with the HIGH beams

when the ignition is switched off they will deactivate . . .

AND I'd check the inline fuse on the power wire .....

Oh boy I feel like a dummy! No I didn’t know that so I went out and checked and sure enough they work. Thank you! Is there a way to switch out that bulb for a led?

There are LED conversions bulbs available out there, but I don't know if they will fit in the light housing like this ...

EXAMPLE: https://kensun.com/products/led_kit_...ith_cree_chips

But these look like they might work... https://www.ledperf.co.uk/h3-high-po...=-966_969.html

these are only EXAMPLES, I do not endorse or recommend these products. I have not messed with mine or bothered to swap out my standard H3s so I have no clue on how well they work.

Best of Luck.

Motor On!
