As I was going over our newly acquired 2003 R53 for PA safety inspection I noticed there are bulbs in the upper positions on the tail lights, but they don't light up. Rear fog option that can be enabled? Or is something else amiss with our tail lights? Thanks for any input!

 

Rear fog lights, you will have to get the toggle bank them have them coded to turn on by MINI or a NCS expert type program. Or there are some hack ways to do it if you dont want the OEM/ Genuine feature.

Thanks, that was my suspicion. I'd been wanting to get NCS Expert for my e46, and now that I can play with the MINI, too, it needs to happen! Especially to disable the damned auto lock feature since the key fob is broken.

Or simply swap wires so they act as brake lights........did mine years ago.
