R50/53 Possible purchase question
Possible purchase question
I am going to be looking at a used R52 today with about 80,000 miles. At about 40,000 miles, the car had service that included “Cylinder head gasket(s) replaced”, “Cylinder head serviced/repaired”, “antifreeze/coolant flushed/changed”, thermostat replaced” and “spark plugs replaced”.
this has me concerned that there may be residual head gasket issues and I want to do a compression test on it.
So, a couple questions:
- what do you think about a car that has had the above mentioned repairs? Would you run?
- what is the best way to deactivate the fuel system? What fuse should I pull and where is the fuse located?
thank you very much in advance
